Brits 'should seek home insurance deals'
Posted by Mark Cunningham
Consumers should make sure they get the best deal when they are looking for home insurance, it has been suggested.
According to moneysupermarket.com, those who wish to pay for the cover on a monthly basis do not necessarily have to stump up considerably more for the privilege.
It noted that some insurers charge up to 22 per cent more for this luxury, but others provide it for free - which is something individuals may wish to bear in mind when browsing the options open to them.
Head of home insurance at the price comparison website Julie Owens said: "Opting to pay for the cost of your home insurance by month is a good way of keeping your initial outlay for home cover down."
However, people should not enter into agreements without considering any additional charges they will be subject to, the expert added.
Recently, Ms Owens suggested that by failing to examine the market, UK consumers are effectively watching their hard earned money "go down the drain".
