Conditions for landlords 'improving all the time'
Posted by Craig Williams
Market conditions for landlords are improving constantly in the aftermath of the recession, an expert has said.
According to Darren Owen, director at Property & Finance Solutions, professionals in the buy-to-let property arena are enjoying a sector that is getting consistently stronger following the slump.
Mr Owen explained that access to mortgage finance for landlords is improving on a weekly basis, as banks and building societies have reacted to the stagnant nature of the market in recent times by creating an increased number of high loan-to-value home loan packages.
"The criteria changes all the time. The lenders are starting to be a bit more flexible," the expert noted.
He went on to say that financiers are adopting a more "common sense approach" in comparison to the past.
Recently (July 18th), Paragon Mortgages revealed that 47 per cent of all buy-to-let deals agreed in the second quarter of 2011 were for professionals wanting to expand their property portfolio.
