Confidence 'returning slowly to employment sector'
Posted by Helen Jones
Confidence is beginning to seep back into the UK's employment sector in the aftermath of the worldwide economic downturn.
That is the opinion of Phil Flaxton, chief executive officer of Work Wise UK, who has said there is now an "underlying trend" showing that this arena is looking "cautiously upwards" as the country continues its post-recession revival.
Mr Flaxton was speaking after the publication of data from the Office for National Statistics recently (July 13th), which showed that the previous quarter saw a slight decline in unemployment levels.
He went on to say that "any reduction in unemployment is good", as it represents evidence that the nation's rejuvenation is firmly underway.
Nevertheless, the expert went on to state that the climb after the slump will still be "very, very slow and gradual", because the UK is by no means out of the woods as is shown in the consistently high level of inflation and record low interest rates.
