Confidence 'returning to housing market'
Posted by Francesca Witney
Positive sentiment with regard to the state of the UK's property market is continuing to rise among homeowners.
That is the opinion of Selwyn Lim, director at Mouseprice, who has noted optimism is gradually increasing as the sector slowly recovers in the aftermath of the worldwide monetary slump.
Last week (July 27th), the National Association of Estate Agents revealed that the average number of properties for sale in financiers' branches increased to its highest level since April 2009 last month.
This appears to support Mr Lim's view, but the expert went on to warn "we are still a long way away from the heady heights of 2007" as the effects of the downturn continue to be felt.
Nevertheless, due to the fact the housing market has been "pretty dire" over the course of the last two years, an increase in supply of properties is almost inevitable in the near future.
