Consumers 'keen to make video wills'
Posted by Mark Cunningham
Over six in ten UK consumers would be keen to make a video will to leave to their relatives, it has been found.
A survey conducted by Remember A Charity, which aims to encourage people to consider donating money to good causes in their wills, discovered that 63 per cent of respondents would like to have the chance to do this.
They stated that this would enable them to explain their choices to loved ones and to send messages and advice from 'beyond the grave'.
It was also revealed that 70 per cent of those polled thought video wills would reduce the risk of family disputes over the division of estates.
Chairman of the organisation - which was established in 2000 and now has over 140 members - Stephen George said: "This research highlights a growing desire to leave personal messages for loved ones to support their legally binding wills and to explain the decisions we make."
