Database for NLA members launched
In a bid to introduce greater clarity for tenants in the UK, the National Landlords Association (NLA) has developed an online database listing all its members.
The system is designed to enable people renting properties to check whether landlords are part of the professional association.
Operators who are part of the NLA have to abide by the "highest standards of residential property letting", the organisation claimed.
It added that anyone who knows they are renting from one of its members can be assured that if something goes wrong, complaints will be dealt with in a timely and professional manner under the terms of the NLA Code of Practice.
NLA chairman David Salusbury said: "[The database] also offers our landlord members the chance to demonstrate to current or potential tenants that they are part of the cream of the crop in the lettings business."
Representing more than 17,000 members, the NLA is headquartered in London and employs over 40 workers.
