Expert: Business owners are fed up with taxation rules

Many people who work for themselves as the owners of small businesses have become exasperated with the complexities of the UK's taxation system.

That is according to Andrew Gotch, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, who has said that many professionals in this industry are having their working conditions negatively affected and are being driven to a state of "desperation" by the current legislative structure.

Mr Gotch explained that the complications within the system have evolved to become "almost insufferable" over the course of the last ten years.

His comments come after the Forum of Private Business published a report last week (January 17th 2011), which stated that 57 per cent of business owners would be willing to pay more in tax in exchange for a simpler system that offered them long-term benefits.

The specialist concluded that this figure was "not surprising" and represents a clear indication of how these workers feel.
