Expert: Now could be perfect time for a career break
Posted by Emily Swanson
Now could be the ideal time for Britons to take a career break and head abroad, it has been suggested.
According to Rachel Morgan-Trimmer, founder of online resource The Career Break Site, individuals could use the bleak nature of the present economic climate and the overwhelming uncertainty in the nation's jobs market as motivation to try something different.
Ms Morgan-Trimmer explained that "things can be quite stressful" in the UK due to such factors, meaning taking some time out is an effective way of avoiding the day-to-day pressure and strain associated with employment.
The expert went on to indicate that the demographic of people considering career breaks is changing, as there is now a "gradual movement" towards individuals in their 40s rather than the traditional market of those in their 20s or 30s.
One country people on a career break may wish to visit is Mexico, as Carmen Laborin of the Mexico Tourism Board believes the Central American nation offers something for everyone.
