Landlords will need strong levels of support in the coming year if their business is to flourish in the present economic climate.

That is the opinion of Tom Entwistle, editor of founder at LandlordZONE.co.uk, who believes it is vital for professionals in the getting involved in the buy-to-let sector to receive assistance.

Mr Entwistle explained that letting represents a growing area of the UK's housing market as new people are entering the field all the time.

With this in mind, he insisted they "need all the help they can get", as letting out a home yourself can be a "huge learning curve" for anyone.

The expert went on to urge the government to play a more proactive role is helping landlords by enforcing the rules that already exist "instead of dreaming up more and more".

Recently, David Lawrenson of Letting Focus stated that rising rental prices are persuading a growing number of Britons to get involved in leasing property. ADNFCR-2353-ID-801274185-ADNFCR
