Landlords to have new mortgage service
Written by Emily Jones
Landlords seeking to expand their property portfolios and acquire new properties may be able to make use of a new service.
The Association of Residential Letting Agents (Arla) is launching a bespoke website which enables people to enter their details and needs on to a website and be matched with the best home loan option for them.
According to Ian Potter, operations manager at the organisation, there has been considerable interest in the service.
He added: "As with any borrowing it is essential that full information is available to a borrower in order that they can make an informed decision in connection to the potential of their purchase."
Both landlords and tenants should benefit from the website as it will result in better choice in the market place, Mr Potter concluded.
Arla - which was founded in 1981 and is a professional and regulatory body for letting agents in the UK - announced the development at its annual conference.
