Implementing a policy of transparency in terms of their financial security is essential for all companies.

That is the opinion of Terri Bodell, the self-titled Stress Doctor, who believes that interaction between senior officials and employees with regard to the monetary performance of a firm in the wake of the recession is vital.

Ms Bodell explained that many organisations like to remain "very tight-lipped in economically restricted times", but this approach can lead to workers becoming confused by being left in the dark.

With this in mind, she insisted that better communication is crucial, because it is "very helpful" for employees to know that the company is "financially sound".

Indeed, research published last week (August 23rd) by Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann revealed that workers in the UK rate communication as the most important factor behind effective business leadership.

And Ms Bodell went on to say that companies are "more likely to get better service" from professionals if they are open and honest with them.
