New kite-mark development 'will boost car buyers' confidence'

The confidence of people buying new cars will rise after a motor dealer group achieved a kite-mark, it has been claimed.
Recently, Ford Retail was recognised by the Finance & Leasing Association as being Specialist Automotive Finance (SAF) approved.
According to the Finance & Leasing Association - which is a trade body for the consumer credit, motor finance and asset finance sectors - thousands of vehicle purchasers can now be more assured when taking up motor finance.
Head of the organisation Paul Harrison said: "SAF-certification recognises the on-the-job training staff have received in selling finance and improves their overall finance knowledge for the benefit of car buyers."
He added that the programme helps boost consumer confidence in finance sold in showrooms by ensuring the employees working in them have studied and passed a competence test.
According to the expert, there are now 7,725 individuals registered for the online test across over 700 motor finance providers and retailers.
