People with Honda cars 'should not panic over brake development'
Posted by Mark Cunningham
People who own Honda cars should not panic, despite the fact that the firm has recalled some of its vehicles in the US.
This is according to chairman of Motoring.co.uk Kevin Gaskell, who said that consumers should wait to be notified by the company to find out if their motor is affected.
Those who have concerns about their car, meanwhile, should take it to their local mechanic or dealer for peace of mind.
His advice comes after Honda revealed that some of its cars have faulty brakes which soften over time and may fail if they are not repaired.
Mr Gaskell added: "The majority of the cars affected are from the US and not the UK and although Honda will be covering the cost of repairs, do check with them before getting any work done."
He went on to suggest that the vehicle manufacturer is doing the right thing in terms of taking in cars to examine them.
