Property dispute sees neighbour attacked

Ylr-news-800208255

A property dispute involving bins and the noise created by one man placing rubbish inside them resulted in him sustaining a broken wrist, three broken ribs and two black eyes.

Glen O'Connell of Great Harwood was attacked by James Corps outside his home, with the court hearing how Corps told his neighbour he hated him and his wife, and was going to kill him, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Corps of Kingsway - who climbed over a garden fence on a pair of stepladders to carry out the assault - has been spared jail, being given a 36-week suspended sentence, with six months supervision.

Judge Beverley Lunt described the case as "a neighbourhood dispute that has just gone mad".

Similarly, a feud that began years ago resulted in a man being jailed for ten months after hitting his neighbour with a golf club - breaking his collarbone - for parking his car one inch too far in front of his house.ADNFCR-2353-ID-800208255-ADNFCR
