A number of protestors have gathered outside the home of a UK politician to draw attention to the plight of divorced fathers who want better access to their children.

Members of New Fathers 4 Justice camped outside the home of Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly, who they believe will play a significant role in future family legislation in his new capacity as undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Justice, the Cambridge News reports.

He assumed his current position following the establishment of a coalition government in the wake of the general election last month.

Commenting on the action taken, a man who referred to himself as Captain Equality said: "We are going to be right on his case because he has a key part in this."

He went on to state: "If he fobs us off we will come back and it will not be so humorous next time."

According to the individual, his group is seeking an automatic presumption of 50-50 status between parents who have been through a divorce.
