Regular cleaning 'essential for car maintenance'
Posted by Emily Swanson
Motorists wanting to take good care of their vehicle should make sure they clean it regularly.
That is the advice of Vlad Samarin - editor of online resource Samarins, which provides hints and tips on cars - who believes this to be a crucial method of maintaining a vehicle and keeping it looking its best for longer.
Mr Samarin explained that "things like dead flies and bugs, bird droppings or limestone dripping can damage the paint", which will then potentially leave permanent stains of not treated immediately.
The expert went on to note that drivers planning to keep their car for more than two or three years should take protective measures sooner rather than later, as undercoating and rust proofing can help prevent damage to body panels.
Recently, David Ward, MP for Bradford East, urged policymakers to take action to reduce the cost of car insurance in the UK following the global economic downturn.
