National law firm, Russell Jones & Walker, today launched its consumer-facing website providing free legal information for consumers. The initiative is a direct response to the Government's challenge to make legal services more accessible to the general public.

The website provide free information sheets and podcasts about a range of legal issues, including age discrimination, maternity rights, health and safety at work, civil partnerships, home information packs, probate and defamation. There are also links to online questionnaires enabling users to find out if they have a claim in certain areas, for example, defamation, discrimination and personal injury.

Louise Restell, Head of Public Affairs at RJW and previously campaign manager at consumer organisation Which?, said "Your Legal Rights builds on our reputation for upholding the legal rights of individuals - we've been doing that since we were set up over 70 years ago. But we have to find new ways of communicating with people and make sure our information is relevant and user-friendly. That's what Your Legal Rights is all about."
