Sound Advice Noise At Work In Music And Entertainment

A new website has been launched giving advice on protecting your hearing for anyone working in the music industry, whether that’s playing in a band or teaching music in a school.

Many people working in the live music industry suffer with permanent noise-induced hearing damage. But there are simple steps you can take to protect your hearing.

Sound Advice has been put together by representatives of the music and entertainment industries with environmental health officers and the Health and Safety Executive. It tells you what you can do to avoid the harmful effects of prolonged exposure to noise - for yourself and for the people you employ or work with.
