Workers in UK 'see wage increases'

Workers in the UK may have seen increases in their pay last month, new figures suggest.
According to the latest Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG Report on Jobs, permanent staff salaries went up over the course of the 31-day period.
It suggested that the rate of inflation was "solid", despite a slight easing from the 21-month high seen in February.
The report added that temporary workers also saw remuneration rises, which, although "modest", were the sharpest since June 2008.
It was also revealed that the number of permanent staff appointments made by recruitment consultancies jumped in March, with growth described as the strongest since October 1997.
Responding to the findings, Kevin Green, chief executive of the REC - which has around 8,000 corporate and 6,000 individual members - said they indicate growth.
He added: "Permanent appointments increasing at the fastest pace for over 12 years is the clearest sign yet of a revival in the UK jobs market."
